Goat Show Rules & Guidelines
The deadline to enter is August 21st, 2025. Late entries will be accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for their own shavings. Entry is FREE, but fair admission is required. Exhibitors and all others can purchase tickets online or at the fair entry gate the day of the show.

Goat Clinic – Friday, August 29th, 2025 5:00pm
Learn how to show a goat & win prize money. Ages 5 and up are eligible. Come one hour before the goat
show and learn about goat care such as feeding a goat, trimming its hooves, milking a goat, & most importantly, how to show a goat. You don't even need to have your own goat. Goats will be provided for you to enter for a chance to earn prize money.
Goat Show – Friday, August 29th, 2025 6:00pm
This is an open, fun show for both children and adults raising goats. Goats must be female or wether male. NO BUCKS, please. Horned and dehorned goats are allowed in a fun show. Goats do not need to be registered to participate in this show, and all breeds are welcome. All goats must be accompanied by health papers, have an identifying tag or tattoo so that Show Officials can check their papers on arrival to the Fairgrounds. If goats are tattooed, the tattoos must be legible. NO SICK GOAT will be allowed on the premises.
* There are no pen fees or goat entry fees, however, admission tickets must be purchased for all exhibitors and guests. If you have not purchased online, you will be required to pass through the main gates to purchase a ticket. Please see the website for entry forms and mailing address.
All entries are encouraged to be received by August 21st, 2025. However, late entries will be accepted.
Premiums and ribbons will be awarded in each class for 4 places. All goats will receive a ribbon. A trophy
will be presented to the "Best Goat in Show".
All goats must be entered into the individual classes to participate in the group classes and the costume class. Goats must wear a collar and be escorted by their owner/agent into the show ring. Individuals showing dairy-type goats will be expected to show wearing white jeans, trousers, white shirts, and white shoes. All others may wear black jeans/trousers and white shirts. No open-toed shoes should be worn in the show ring.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - NO OPEN CONTAINERS OF MILK WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS. THIS RULE AIDS IN THE PREVENTION OF DISEASE. ALL MILK MUST BE POURED DOWN THE DRAIN AND RINSED IMMEDIATELY.
